The Dining Hall is the oldest building at Camp Henry. Originally built in 1936, it has had additions added to all four sides. Every camper or guest that has ever been to Camp Henry has utilized this same iconic building.
During the Winter of 2015/2016 a significant renovation of the Dining Hall will take place – increasing the capacity from 187 to 300 and providing a brand new commercial kitchen, new bathrooms, a walk up snack window, and a new conference room – as well as over 3,000 square feet of additional storage.
We are thrilled to be able to retain the current Dining Hall while at the same time making these significant and necessary additions.
The Meijer Simply Give program is back for another year! From now until September 12, 2015, each $10 donation made at the Meijer on Kalamazoo and 28th Street will be doubled by Meijer and given directly to the pantry. On September 3 (Hunger Action Day), 4, and 5, donations to the Meijer on Kalamazoo and 28th will be tripled!
Please donate your tens, twenties, fifties, and hundreds to Simply Give. Meijer has made the promise, we must make the commitment! More info here.

Mission does, indeed, matter at Westminster.
We believe we were sent here to do what God has called us to do. That is our mission as a church: to do what God has called us to do. It is what matters most of all.
At the very least, our mission is to fulfill our stated congregational vision: to do justice, love, kindness, and walk humbly with our God. Our mission is to do what the charge at the end of worship tells us every week as we go out to be the church:go into the world in peace, have courage, hold onto all that is good, return no one evil for evil, strengthen the faint-hearted, support the weak, and help the suffering. Honor all people, and love and serve the Lord, rejoicing in the power of the Holy Spirit.
Without a roof over our heads and our sanctuary, we would not have the kind of worship that drives our work for God and that keeps us focused on our work in mission. So, we must see that the roof is paid for.
But mostly, mission is what we do for people outside the walls of our sanctuary. For the first time in a Westminster capital campaign, instead of tithing a portion of the funds raised to an"outside the walls" mission, we are dedicating more than half of the $2,500,000 to be raised to the core missions of Westminster: the Westminster Child Development Center, Camp Henry, and the Downtown Food Pantry. All three missions are critical parts of the Westminster vision.
The following pages give information about the needs of these areas.
