We’re back! YAY! We are looking forward to seeing all of you! Wonderful opportunities for children are available every Sunday at Westminster! Enjoy worship with the whole congregation either at the 8:30 or 11:00 a.m. service; after the exchange of blessings with children ages three to second grade, these children will continue worshiping in the various worship centers according to their ages. There is nursery for babies through two-year-old’s from the start of the 8:30 a.m. service to the end of the second service.
Between the 8:30 and 11:00 services, there is an hour of education for children who are in first through fifth grade. During this hour, they participate in choir and a time of exploration workshops. Workshops involve games, drama, storytelling, art, and music based on a biblical story or theme and take place upstairs in our third floor fun rooms!
We’ll have registration for children’s programs at church on September 12 and 19, as well as at our Kick-Off Celebration at Riverside Park on September 12 from 12:30-2:30. If you have any questions, please contact me at nancyg@wpcgr.org or 616-717-5541! I can’t wait to see you all again!!
And for those of you who haven’t heard me on this yet, I believe children need four things:
- A creed to believe
- A community to belong to and in
- A call to live out
- A hope to hold
The church is a place where all these needs can be met!
