If you experience the death of a loved one, we want to provide you with spiritual care and support. An important part of that support is a funeral or memorial service at the church, where we come together in hope to remember God’s promise of resurrection, to celebrate the gift of your loved one’s life, to comfort one another in grief, and to affirm that nothing in life or in death can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Whether you have a loved one who has died, or you want to pre-plan your service, we stand ready to assist you in the planning of these services, and to help answer questions you may have.
If you would like to plan a service, you may make an appointment with one of the pastors or with our Funeral Planning Coordinator, Steve Baron, by contacting the church office at 616-456-1456. Steve is a Licensed Michigan Funeral Director and stands ready to assist Westminster families in their planning, answer questions and concerns surrounding a death, assemble needed information, and work with you and your selected funeral home to formulate your service preferences.
Our columbarium provides a quiet and dignified location for your loved one. You can access the columbarium during normal church hours, or by appointment. To arrange a visitation at the columbarium, or to find out more information about purchasing a niche, please contact the church office.
