We recognize that not everyone has the means to support our ministry financially, and that many are facing new and unforeseen financial implications in the wake of this pandemic; this message is not meant to put any pressure on people. There are many ways to give and to serve—you can find volunteer opportunities through the church here.
We also recognize some are able to give financially to help pay our bills, our staff, and continue our ministry in the community. You can do so through the button below. If you have any questions regarding contributions to the church, please contact Kathy Cisler at (616) 717-5533 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Have questions about how we use our resources? We want to be transparent.
Where does my donation to Westminster end up?
Through our online donation platform, you can choose where your donation will go. Options include the COVID-19 response fund, the deacon fund, the Downtown Food Pantry, the Westminster Childhood Development Center, and the music program. You can also make a pledge to donate in the fiscal year or donate to the church’s general fund.
Who decides how to use the donations the church receives?
Many people are involved in handling the church’s finances and fundraising for the church, including the trustees, congregational committees, members of the staff, and church elders. Westminster prioritizes its core missions, as well as serving when need arises (such as during the COVID-19 pandemic).
What is the deacon fund?
This fund was established many years ago to assist church members with short-term financial needs, such as utility payments, transportation, and insurance payments. The fund is generously funded by the congregation, and we want to put it to use for those that have been hard hit by under-employment, illness, or other unforeseen circumstances. To initiate a request, please contact Susan Jennings at email@example.com. All information will be kept confidential.
