On August 8, wildfire broke out on the island of Maui, creating the worst natural disaster Hawaii has ever seen. The people of Maui continue to fight every day to recover and rebuild and the PCUSA’s Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (PDA) fund is helping with that recovery. The Mission Partnership committee has made a $10,000 contribution to PDA on behalf of Westminster Church. This is one of the largest donations in recent years and was made possible by a generous memorial contribution to the Mission Restricted fund. We continue to pray for our siblings in Hawaii, that they find comfort and strength for the long road to recovery.
