Friends,
I’m remembering the all-too common responses we heard from our parents when we were traveling on vacation… “we’re halfway there”, “we’re almost there.” And, of course, I repeated them to my children.
And so to you, fellow members…We are nearly halfway there. Thank you for your generous and faithful giving through June! The financials as of June 30 show the following compared to last year at this time:
Pledges and gifts received:
- 2022: $596,566 (46%)
- 2021 $621,437 (48%)
Expenses:
- 2022: $725,593 (47%)
- 2021 $676,915 (44%)
Nearly halfway connotes that there is a journey happening. It’s a journey we are on together—all in, together in the kin-dom. And our journey together requires a steady supply of “fuel” in order to reach our 2022 destination. You can see from the above numbers that we are slowing down a bit and we will need to refuel and pick up speed to meet our goals.
Thank you for your contributions through June that are providing “fuel” for our journey. We encourage you to continue your steady, faithful, and generous giving over the coming months so that Christ’s church may continue to grow in and through each and everyone of us.
