Robert is a graduate of Luther College (B.A. in Music) and Bowling Green State University (M.M. in Orchestral Conducting). He has conducted choirs and orchestras both in the US and in Europe, and was one of the recipients of the 2023 Advocate for Choral Excellence award from the Minnesota American Choral Directors Association. He recently finished an extensive recording project conducting Minnesota Orchestra and Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra members, along with instrumental and vocal soloists on a jazz/classical crossover album. Additionally, Robert is an active recitalist as a pianist and organist.
